I was really hyped before getting this food and had been craving it for days leading up to my husband grabbing some for our family. It was delicious. We enjoyed every bite, including the leftovers since we were given an abundance of food. Great experience, thanks!👏
Glad to have such resturant in Columbia.
I tired the take-out and the dine-in experience.
Takeout:
The gyro and falafel sandwiches were great. The beef shawarma was not the authentic taste but still very good.
The dine-in experience:
It was great. The food, the afterward tea (not included you ask for it), and the dessert were all delicious. The service was great, the resturant atmosphere is the only part I would give 4/5.
If fresh has a flavor, it lives here. Stop reading and try this restaurant out. I eat a plant-based diet and this place is amazing. If the meat dishes are similar, you cannot possibly go wrong.
Embarking on a culinary journey at this establishment left me with mixed emotions. While the experience was by no means bad, every aspect fell into the category of "fine."
The cuisine, while satisfactory, didn't manage to transcend into the realm of greatness. The flavors, though present, lacked that exceptional touch that I've encountered in many similar establishments. The dishes were fine, the atmosphere was fine, and the service was, you guessed it, fine.
As a seasoned connoisseur of Middle Eastern delights, I couldn't shake the feeling of mild disappointment. Nothing soared to the heights of excellence, and yet, nothing plummeted into the depths of mediocrity either.
It wasn't a regrettable experience; it just didn't leave a lasting impression. Reflecting on past culinary escapades, a subtle sense of nostalgia and longing for a more remarkable encounter lingered in my heart as I departed from the restaurant.
Delicious food! Authentic for sure! Service was also great!
THE SYRIAN KITCHEN HAS THE BEST FOOD! You will not be disappointed. The service is incredible and the menu is great. The Falafel are some of the best in town and the Turkish coffee is a must have! If you want to try something new or simply be a regular customer somewhere, this is a great place to start!
Called ahead to ask if they could accommodate gluten free but was unable to get them to understand what I was asking. Went to the restaurant and asked if they could make gluten free, they said they could without the pita bread. I ordered the chicken kabob with rice, my mom got the beef kabob with rice. I really liked the yellow spiced rice, it was very flavorful and soft. The chicken was a little too dry for me, (I have dysphagia- so it might be just me). My mom thought the rice was good, but the beef looked and tasted more like hamburger meat and didn't care for it.
Yesterday we had dinner here, we planned to drink tea, but we decided to eat. Because after talking with the waiter, we got a promise that they would make/prepare food very quickly. First we ordered tea and hummus with bread, these things were great. 👍😀 Only when we got the food / kebab, I feel like they just reheated it because the meat was hard and warm. All in all, an OK restaurant. Unfortunately, there is no public choice for HALAL food in Columba.
